A Peer Council is open to all first responders (active, retired, whatever) and veterans including families. This is a low-stress environment between professionals and peers. There is no specific conversation; we encourage open discussion with peers and accredited professionals are present for consultation on clinical matters or to make individual appointment. These are free to attend and no RSVP is necessary; the guest list is private. Make sure to check "interested" for reminders via Facebook. You will also have the ability to make appointments if you wish, network with others, or just come to talk/listen. Confidentiality is ensured. We don't care if you show up late either; you are free to come and go as you please and may remain anonymous. There is no forced participation either - these are not like some other events and the aim is to take care of you.
Members of the general public or non-networked providers are not permitted without prior discussion.
Hosted at New Beginnings Behavioral Health (back of the Sound1 plaza)
